It’s just over one month into this endeavour and I am really blown away by the response and the interest that it has generated. More than 1000 academics, industry scientists, science journalists, ecologists and academic journal editors from around the world of ecology have signed up since early June and are enjoying the weekly conference and seminar posts that are going out. Having said that it does seem that PhD Students and Early Career Academics are the bulk of the sign ups so its great to be able to provide this service at a difficult time in your careers!
Although a lot of the ‘in person’ societal conferences have been cancelled it has been encouraging to see so many great new ‘pop up’ virtual conferences filling the void with opportunities to present research and it’s been great keeping you up to date with these and the seminars.
If you are a PhD Student with an upcoming seminar to promote then please get in touch or if you know someone with an upcoming seminar then feel free to pass the message on. Similarly, if you’re a PhD Student with research to present and haven’t yet found a conference or seminar to present your work and would like a platform for it (with a reach of 1400+ ecologists) I would be interested to hear from you too, all ecological topics appreciated!
Finally, I would really like to feature some virtual PhD thesis exit seminars but it seems that these are not often publicly held and if they are the message only goes out on the same day. If you want to expose your PhD exit seminar to a large international audience of academic ecologists get in touch either by replying to this email or commenting on this post on the Ecology Seminars page.
I am currently working on inland saline wetland ecology and biodiversity conservation of India. I want to share my research works. Suggest me the way to reach you.
Hi - Our program would love to add our weekly seminar to your list. How do we do that? Thanks.
