It would be great to know more about the ecology backgrounds of you all.
Whether that is in academia or industry it would really help to direct and inform any future posts on seminars, conferences and other topics in ecology knowing the backgrounds and interests of who is receiving them.

Hi! I missed the survey, but I am an early career faculty member and principal investigator on an NSF S-STEM grant at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska! Thank you so much for this platform- I am using the links to seminars to watch them myself and to provide access to my students on scholarship as part of our COVID programming pivot. I am so grateful for all your hard work!
I joined the group too late for the survey, but would have been Other. My university group empowers students to address real environmental challenges, and we currently are focusing on creating and connecting them to virtual offerings that enhance field experiences.
Hii. I am pursuing PhD in wetland ecology using remote sensing and GIS Data integrating ground data sets. I am working on India's largest inland saline wetland.
Hi, I am Master's student studying Applied Wildlife Conservation at Anglia Ruskin University. Currently, I am doing my final project, which is looking at wild bee foraging behaviour in English farms. I am trying to understand how bees choose their food plants depending on bee and plant functional traits. I am also applying for PhD opportunities in plant-insect interaction and evolutionary biology of these interaction and related topics.
The results of the survey are now in. Great to see so many early career researchers here! Anyone who responded 'Other' feel free to give more detail so next time I can include your categories! We might have another survey like this in a few more months time with software that allows more responses :)
